Aidan James Gann

Aidan James Gann, 7, of York Springs, PA, peacefully passed away Friday, July 12, 2024, at the Penn State Hershey Medical Center, after bravely facing a very brief and extremely rare medical condition.

Born August 16, 2016, in Camp Hill, PA,  Aidan's creativity, nature for caring, and passion for animals, scouting and soccer are what fueled his enthusiasm and zest for life. Quality’s he shared daily with his family, friends, and his special bond with his brother.

He was a student at Bermudian Springs Elementary School, where he just completed the first grade.

Aidan's joyful spirit touched everyone he met. He radiated happiness and had a remarkable way of uplifting everyone around him, brightening their spirits with joy. Not only was he the life of the party, he created the party. His passion for the outdoors led him to join the Boy Scouts, where he was a dedicated member of Lake Meade Pack 88. His faithfulness to the Scout's code continues on by becoming an organ donor, and helping others in need even in death. Aidan also cherished his time with his father at the York Springs Fire Co. #1 as an honorary member.

He is survived by his loving parents, mother, Jessica B. (Lansing) Gann of York Springs; father, Ryan E. Gann, and his companion Eve Failor of York Springs; his siblings Brantley R. Gann of York Springs and Madilyn H. Failor of York Springs; maternal grandparents, Chuck and Lori Lansing of Normal, IL; paternal grandparents, Kathy Gann and Sean Waltermyer of York Springs, and Roy Gann (Carole Gann, dec.) of Lakeland, FL; his honorary grandmother, Marianne Hankey of York Springs; as well as many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.

A celebration of life will be held Saturday, July 20, 2024, at 2:00 pm at the York Springs Fire Company #1, 312 Main St., York Springs, PA. Prior to the service, a visitation will take place from 1-2 pm.
