Arlene (Sheaffer) Williams

Arlene Williams, 97, of Mechanicsburg, passed away at Bethany Village on January 20, 2026. Arlene was born on August 12, 1928, in Siddonsburg, Pennsylvania. She was a member of the class of 1946 from John Harris High School. Arlene was the daughter of the late Daniel and Catharine (Donson) Sheaffer. She was married for 64 years to Robert Williams, Sr.

    In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Robert Williams Sr., her son, Robert Williams Jr., and brother, Harold Sheaffer.

    She was a retired employee of Tressler Lutheran Social Services and Starobin and Blanche Counseling Services.

    Arlene was a member of Camp Hill United Methodist Church.

   Arlene is survived by a daughter, Jane Gabel Gay (Clarence) of Mechanicsburg, two grandsons, Christopher Williams (Kristin) of Front Royal, Virginia, Brian Gabel of Duncannon and a daughter-in-law, Susan Williams of Front Royal.

   Burial will be at the discretion of the family.

   Memorial contributions may be made to Homeland Hospice or Bethany Care Assurance Fund.
