Arvilla B. (Cassell) Trostle

Arvilla B. Trostle, 90, of Dillsburg passed away Wednesday, July 31, 2024, at her home with her loving family.

She was the widow of Richard D. Trostle.

She was born April 30, 1934, in Harrisburg, PA the daughter of the late Harvey and Margaret (Knaub) Cassell.

Arvilla graduated from John Harris High School and worked part-time as a teacher aide at Dillsburg Elementary School.                     .

Arvilla was a member of Chestnut Grove Church in Dillsburg and enjoyed gardening, camping, and traveling.

Arvilla is survived by two sons, Brian D. Trostle of Dillsburg, Bruce R. Trostle of Dillsburg; three daughters, Larenda K. Souder (Les) of Dillsburg, Wendy S. Trostle-Bargo (Blain) of Harrisburg, Holly A. Michael of Dillsburg; two brothers, Harvey Cassell of Mechanicsburg, Bill Cassell of Encinitas, CA; fourteen grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren.

A memorial service to celebrate Arvilla's life will be held Tuesday, August 13, 2024, at 2:00 pm in her church, Chestnut Grove Church, 450 Chestnut Grove Rd., Dillsburg, PA 17019. A visitation will be held from 1-2 pm prior to the service.
