Barry E. Geiger, 73, of Mechanicsburg, PA, went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, February 13, 2025.
He was born October 16, 1951, in Harrisburg the son of the late Kenneth L. and Betty C. (Moser) Geiger.
Barry worked hard as a mason tender and was a member of the local labor union for twenty-five years.
He was a member of the Goldsboro Church of God and avidly studied the Bible and was a servant of the Lord. He taught Sunday School for twenty years.
Barry enjoyed reading, getting up early, being in nature, hunting, fishing, and watching sports. Twice a week he took a four mile hike in the woods.
Barry is survived by his wife of 26 years Jody L. (Hart) Geiger; his step-mother, Frances J. Geiger of Carlisle; two step-children, Amanda Wirrick (David) of New Cumberland, Dwayne E. Smith of Etters; three siblings, Deborah L. McMichael (Rodney) of Mechanicsburg, Crystal K. Crumlic (Dennis) of Enola, Kim Rickenbach (William) of Etters; three grandchildren, Kyle D. Curtis of Great Falls MT, Raven A. Baker (Jubal) of Glen Rock, Falcon Wirrick of Lewistown; and two great-grandchildren, Guinevere Baker and Barbara Baker. Barry was preceded in death, along with his parents, by a brother Jay E. Geiger.
Services will be held Saturday, February 22, 2025, at 11:00 am in the Cocklin Funeral Home, Inc., 30 N. Chestnut St., Dillsburg, PA. A viewing will be held Saturday from 10-11 am at the funeral home. Burial will be held in the Mt. Pleasant Cemetery, Dillsburg.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to his church, Goldsboro Church of God, 103 W. Broadway, Etters, PA 17319.
