Barry Lee Junkins, 65, of Dillsburg, passed away unexpectedly, Wednesday, November 3, 2021.
He was born November 13, 1955, in Mechanicsburg, the son of the late Paul E. Junkins, Sr. and Vernadeen E. (Eichelberger) Junkins.
Barry served his country in the U.S. Airforce and then went on to work at the Navy Depot before starting his own upholstery business, Junkins Upholstery, which he owned and operated for over 40 years.
He enjoyed collecting old race cars, building mandolins and fishing with his grandchildren.
Barry is survived by his wife, Shirley A. (McGaughey) Junkins, a daughter, Ashley M. Stonesifer and her husband Eric of Dillsburg; a son, Matthew L. Junkins of Dillsburg; five grandchildren, Blake Junkins, Brynnley Junkins, Ayden Stonesifer, Wyatt Stonesifer, Ethyn Stonesifer; a sister, Shirley Haines of Mechanicsburg; four brothers, Charles Junkins of Dillsburg, Paul Junkins, Jr. of Mechanicsburg, Fred Junkins of Mechanicsburg, Michael Junkins of Dillsburg; and his special dog companion, Molly.
A celebration of life will be held Sunday, November 14, 2021, at 1:00 pm in the Monaghan Township Fire Hall, 245 W. Siddonsburg Road, Dillsburg, PA 17019.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Eastern Museum of Motor Racing, 100 Baltimore Road, York Springs, PA 17372.
