Betty Jane Espenshade, 101, of Middletown, PA passed away Saturday, May 9th, 2026, at Carolyn's House in Harrisburg, PA.
She was born Thursday, April 9th, 1925, in Derry Township, Dauphin County, PA the daughter of the late Lawrence and Ruth (Felty) Zimmerman.
Betty was the widow of Robert E. Espenshade.
She retired as an Assistant Manager at the New Cumberland Army Depot.
Betty was a member of Christian Life Assembly in Camp Hill as well as the Disabled American Veterans Auxiliary, National Association Retired Federal Employees and volunteered with the Cumberland County Food Bank.
She is survived by her sons Gregory D. Espensade and his wife June of Carlisle, Fred D. Espenshade and his wife Marcia of Mechanicsburg; one brother Robert E. Zimmerman of Palmyra; two grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Services will be held on Tuesday, May 19th, 2026, at 11:00 am in the Youth Center at her church, Christian Life Assembly, 2645 Lisburn Road, Camp Hill, PA. A visitation will be held from 10:00 am-11:00 am prior to the service. Burial will follow the luncheon at the Woodlawn Memorial Gardens, Harrisburg.
