Boyd D. Campbell, Jr., 73, of Dillsburg, PA passed away August 17, 2025, at the Penn State Health Holy Spirit Medical Center, Camp Hill.
He was born August 4, 1952, in Chambersburg, PA, the son of the late Boyd D. Campbell, Sr. and Verna Elizabeth Blakey Campbell.
Boyd worked for various companies over the years. He started his career at Olympia Candy Kitchen in Chambersburg, PA and then moved on to various supervisory positions held with Iceland Seafood Corp., Camp Hill, PA; The Quaker Oats Co., Camp Hill, PA; and The Hershey Co., Hershey, PA. He retired from Carlisle Syntec Systems, in Carlisle, PA.
Boyd had many interests. He liked working with his hands on various projects around his home. He was an avid carpenter and electrician. He enjoyed working with plants and gardening. He liked to cook. He owned a motorcycle for many years, and was an enthusiastic rider. He enjoyed jazz music, and often traveled to hear his favorite artists. He was also a lifetime Steelers fan.
He is survived by his fiance’ and partner, Cathy Hampton; a son, Boyd D. Campbell, III of Chambersburg; and a nephew, Seth Cuyler, of Philadelphia. Boyd was preceded in death by his parents, and by a sister, Norna Cuyler.
He is very much loved, and will be greatly missed by his family and friends. A memorial service will be held at a later date.
