Bradly Graffius Obituary

 

Bradly W. Graffius, age 58, passed away from natural causes on Monday, June 29. 

 

He is survived by his father, Gordon Graffius; his three siblings, Wendy Weder and her husband Joe, Paula Domske and her husband, Mark, and Keith Graffius; five nieces Renee Simpson and her husband Blake, Cindi Sower and her husband Tom, Alyssa Atwater and her husband Ryan, Mackenzie Sexton and her husband Matthew, Aspen Knuckley and her husband Edward; ten great-nieces and nephews; and his beloved black lab, Rip.  He was proceeded in death by his mother, Sandra S. “Sandy” Graffius.  

 

A well respected and successful financial planner, Brad was the Co-Founder and President of Commonwealth Benefits Group.  He graduated from Lycoming College with B.A. in Economics and received his CLU and RHU designations from The American College.  Brad was regularly sought after to speak to local groups and seminars on the issues of financial and healthcare planning.  He was an active community leader sitting on serval boards of area health care companies.   

 

Brad was well known for his competitive spirit. An athlete from birth, he played competitive sports throughout his youth, Lettering in Football.  In college he was a Safety for the University of Delaware before transferring to Lycoming College where he was a standout Defensive Back and played in the Amos Alonzo Stagg Bowl for the Division III National Championship.  He was also a pretty good golfer.   

 

An avid outdoorsman, Brad could regularly be found at the Strab & Mt. Pleasant Hunting Farm, shooting Pheasants, with one of his beloved Labrador Retrievers;  Zack, Cocoa, Briar, Jagger, Birch and Rip.   

 

Brad will be most well remembered for his love, affection and devotion to his Nieces and Great-Nieces and Nephews.   

 

A Celebration of Brad’s Life for family and friends will be held on Thursday, July 9th from 6-8pm at Range End Golf Club, 303 Golf Club Ave., Dillsburg, PA, 17019.

 

 In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Brad’s name to Favors Forward Foundation, www.favorsforward.net, a Lycoming County nonprofit organization regularly supported by Lycoming Football Coaches, Players and Alumni.
