Bruce M. Bell, 69, of Dillsburg passed away Monday, July 29, 2024, at the U.P.M.C. Harrisburg Hospital.
He was born September 22, 1954, in Brookville, PA the son of the late Arley M. and Emma D. (Hetrick) Bell.
Bruce graduated in 1972 from the Clarion Limestone High School and then enlisted in the U.S. Army and retired after 30 years of service. After his service in the U.S. Army, he worked as the Assistant Postmaster at the Dillsburg Post Office.
Bruce was a member of the Dillsburg American Legion Post #26 and the Fraternal Order of Eagles #1299 in Carlisle. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping, and especially spending time with his family and grandchildren.
Bruce is survived by his wife Linda M. (Harvey) Bell; his children, Erika Bell of Germany, Eric Bell of Brookville; his step-children, Christina Wilmoth (Brian) of Dillsburg, Ron Kennedy (Karina) of Bradford, Cassandra Maynard (Chris) of Spring Grove; his sister, Patsy D. Renninger of Clarion; six step-grandchildren and four step-great-grandchildren. Bruce was preceded in death along with his parents by two brothers, LeRoy and Rodney Bell.
Memorial services will be held Friday, August 9, 2024, at 2:00 pm in the Cocklin Funeral Home, Inc., 30 N. Chestnut St., Dillsburg, PA. A visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the York County S.P.C.A.. 3159 N. Susquehanna Trail, York, PA 17406.
