Bruce B. Sheaffer, 67, of Dillsburg passed away Monday, July 24, 2023, at his home with his loving family by his side.
He was born November 2, 1955, in Harrisburg the son of the late Thomas Benjamin and Mary Louise (Kerr) Sheaffer.
Bruce is survived by his wife Brenda F. (Gochnauer) Sheaffer; two sons, Nate W. Sheaffer (Ally) of Huntington, Adam M. Sheaffer of Dillsburg; three brothers, William Sheaffer (Betsy), Thomas Sheaffer (Susan), Scott Sheaffer (Laura); and several nieces and nephews.
Bruce was a graduate of Lock Haven University and then went on to teach Health and Drivers Education at Northern High School for 37 years where he also coached wrestling, softball, football, and golf. As a teacher, Bruce was a two-time Governors Highway Traffic Award winner. During his summers he operated a commercial lawn care business for 23 years.
He was a member of the Camp Hill Elks Club, South Mountain V.F.W. Post #6771 and the Dillsburg American Legion Post #26.
Bruce enjoyed hunting, sitting by the pool, walking his dog Ace and most of all spending time with his family.
Services will be held privately at the convenience of the family.
