Carissa A. Mecum, 25, of Camp Hill passed Thursday, April 28, 2022, as the result of a motorcycle accident.
She was born August 21, 1996, in Lock Haven, PA the daughter of Heidi M. Linsenbach and her husband Brian of Dillsburg and Donald J. Mecum, Jr. of Trout Run.
Carissa was a graduate of Northern York County High School, class of 2014 and was employed by thredUP Distribution Center in Mechanicsburg.
She is survived in addition to her parents by one sister, Kera Mecum and her companion Tyler Linsenbach of Dillsburg; one brother, Kyle Kline of York; maternal grandparents, Susan O'Keefe of Marysville and Stephen Adlon of Wellsville; two nieces, Ashlynn Kline, Bailey Linsenbach; three nephews, Loucas Linsenbach, Ripp Linsenbach, Benjamin Kline; and her fiancé Cody L. Derendinger of Camp Hill. Carissa was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, Donald Mecum, Sr. and Rebecca Mecum.
A visitation will be held Wednesday, May 4, 2022, from 6-8 pm followed by a service at 8:00 pm at the Cocklin Funeral Home, Inc., 30 N. Chestnut St., Dillsburg. Burial will be held Thursday at noon in the Dillsburg Cemetery-Golf Course Road.
Carissa had a fondness for dogs and especially her two companions, Apollo and Collie. In her memory, memorial contributions may be made to the Speranza Animal Rescue, 1216 Brandt Rd., Mechanicsburg, PA 17055.
