Charles Leroy Diener, 86, of Dillsburg, PA passed away Thursday, June 25, 2026, at the Penn State Health Holy Spirit Medical Center, Camp Hill, PA.
He was born January 16, 1940, in Harrisburg, PA, the son of the late Merle L. and Roberta E. (Swartz) Diener.
Charles was a former employee of Pennsy Supply and most recently with TAM Systems.
He served his country in the U.S. Navy and was a member of the South Mountain V.F.W Post #6771 and the Dillsburg American Legion Post #26.
Charles enjoyed being a member of the CB Radio Club, working as the soundman for various bands including the Country Image, camping, hunting, fishing, and he especially had a sweet tooth for dessert.
He is survived by his wife Vicki Lee (Brandt) Diener, three children, Lisa Ann Border (Jeffrey) of East Berlin, Kimberly Ann Downey (Mike) of Dillsburg, Andrew Charles Diener of Mechanicsburg; ten grandchildren, Michael Downey, Zachery Border, Dylan Border, Ashley Patteson, Courtney Diener, Rebecca Downey, Jacob Border, Mackenzie Downey, Kiley Downey, Isabella Downey; thirteen greatgrandchildren; and two nieces. Charles was preceded in death by one great-grandchild and a sister, Patricia Roulston.
Memorial services will be held Saturday, August 22, 2026, at 11:00 am in the Grantham Brethren in Christ Church, 421 Grantham Rd., Mechanicsburg, PA 17055. A visitation will be held from 10-11 am prior to the service. A luncheon will follow the service.
