Cindy L. Estes, 69, of Dillsburg, PA passed away Tuesday, March 10th, 2026, at her home.
She was born October 14th, 1956, in Harrisburg, PA the daughter of the late Clyde R. and Madelyn J. (Walck) Hawbecker and was a graduate of Cedar Cliff High School.
Cindy had various occupations over the years starting out after high school working for Berg Electronics, then working as a pharmacy technician for Merck Medco and See-Right Pharmacy. She then went on to attend Harrisburg Area Community College to study nursing and worked until she retired from Messiah Village in Mechanicsburg.
Cindy was a member of Mt Airy Methodist Church in Wellsville and enjoyed gardening, flowers, snorkeling, and her dog Blu.
She is survived by her loving husband Reverend John M. Estes; her son, Jeremy Count (Bea) of Mechanicsburg; her step-son, Andy Estes of Mechanicsburg; her siblings, Connie Cassell of Camp Hill, David Hawbecker of Dillsburg, Deborah Bertolet of Boyertown; three grandchildren, Jamison Count, Reina Count, Vivian Count; one step-grandchild, Kylie Wilson; and many nieces and nephews.
Services will be held Saturday, March 21st, 2026, at 11:00 am in the Calvary Methodist Church, 203 Mumper Lane, Dillsburg, PA, where her husband John pastored for many years. A visitation will be held from 10-11 am prior to the service.
