Dale E. Pifer

Dale E. Pifer, 81, of York Springs, passed away Thursday, July 6, 2023, at his home with his loving family by his side.

   He was born August 18, 1941, in Franklin Township, York County, Pennsylvania the son of the late Ralph and Hattie (Myers) Pifer.

   Dale retired from Bethlehem Steel Corporation where he worked as a electrician maintenance employee. He was also the former proprietor of Pifer's Body Shop in York Springs.

   Dale was a member of Harmony Church in Dillsburg and the York Springs Lions Club. He was currently serving on the York Springs Municipal Authority and was a former member of the York Springs Borough Council. 

   Dale was an avid drag racing fan and enjoyed snowmobiling, boating, hunting but most of all he enjoyed spending time with his family and especially his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. 

   Dale is survived by his loving wife, Susan E. (Stambaugh) Pifer.  His children: Brian E. Pifer and his wife Teresa, of York Springs; Denise E. Culbert and her husband Chris, of Dillsburg and Keith E. Pifer and his wife Brandie, of York Springs.  His siblings: Dean Pifer, of New Kingston and Barry Pifer, Garry Pifer and Marlin Pifer, all of Carlisle.  Seven grandchildren and Thirteen great-grandchildren. 

   A visitation will be held Friday, July 21, 2023, from 10:00 am until 12:00 pm in the Cocklin Funeral Home, Inc., 30 N. Chestnut St., Dillsburg, PA.
