Daniel E. Lucas, Sr.

Daniel E. Lucas, Sr., 58, of Dillsburg passed away Friday, September 22, 2023, at the Penn State Health Holy Spirit Medical Center, Camp Hill.

   He was born July 1, 1965, in Camp Hill, PA the son of Harold E. Lucas, Sr. of Mechanicsburg and the late Carol Jean (Snyder) Lucas.

   Daniel enjoyed riding his motorcycle, spending time with his dogs and being in the outdoors watching deer.

   He is survived in addition to his father by one son, Daniel E. Lucas, Jr. of Carlisle; one daughter, Rachelle D. Comp (Cody) of Newport; one step-son, Gregory Moonan of York; one brother, Harold E. Lucas, Jr. of Dillsburg; one sister, Tracey L. Shoemaker (Wesley) of Mechanicsburg; two grandchildren, Atlanta and Arista; and numerous nieces and nephews.

    Services will be held Friday, September 29, 2023, at 11:00 am in the Cocklin Funeral Home, Inc., 30 N. Chestnut St., Dillsburg. Viewings will be held Thursday from 6-8 pm and Friday from 10-11 am at the funeral home. Burial will be held in the Mt. Pleasant Cemetery, Dillsburg.

   In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the St. Jude Children's Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38101.
