Darlene Faye Klinedinst, 80, of Dover, was called home by the Lord on Friday, September 24, 2021. She was surrounded by her husband and loving family.
She was born August 12, 1941, in Dillsburg, the daughter of the late Ralph and Faire (Urich) Baker. Darlene grew up in Dillsburg and graduated from Northern High School, Class of 1959.
Darlene was a retired Customer Service Representative for the Book of the Month Club. She was a lifetime member of the V.F.W. in Dillsburg. Darlene's family was the center of her world. She loved spending her time at "Camp Klondike", porch sitting and car rides with her husband, Larry, to get ice cream and spending football Sundays with the Capps.
Her hobbies included attending all her grandchildren's sporting events/activities, reading her weekly people magazine and using her wit to solve crossword puzzles. Her infectious laugh and smile will be greatly missed.
Darlene is survived by her husband, Larry E. Klinedinst; her son, Steve C. Klinedinst (Marcie) of Lewisberry; two daughters, Lori J. Finch (Richard) of Port Saint Lucy, FL, Jill M. Cappellett (Mark) of Dillsburg; nine grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her brother, Tom Baker.
Services will be held be held Thursday, September 30, 2021, in the Cocklin Funeral Home, Inc., 30 N. Chestnut St., Dillsburg. There will be a visitation from 10-11 am until the service at 11:00 am. Burial will be held in the Dillsburg Cemetery-Mountain Road.
