Obituary
David P. Martin, Sr., 94, of Mechanicburg passed away Sunday, September 11, 2022, at Harmony Senior Living, Mechanicsburg.
He was born April 10, 1928, in Mechanicsburg the son of the late Roy and Aveda (Bishop) Martin.
David was the widower of Mildred A. (Wiley) Martin.
He was a retired machinist for the Navy Depot in Mechanicsburg and served his country in the U.S. Army..
He was a member of the Bowmansdale Church of God and the York Springs I.O.O.F. Lodge #211 and was an avid gardener.
David is survived by two sons, David P. Martin, Jr. and Steven A. Martin both of Dillsburg; one daughter, Sharon L. McCauslin of Mechanicsburg; two sisters, Florence Martin-Williams of Oregon, Helen Moss of Georgia; six grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Services will be held Tuesday, September 20, 2022, at 11:00 am in the Cocklin Funeral Home, Inc., 30 N. Chestnut St., Dillsburg. A viewing will be held from 10:30-11:00 am at the funeral home prior to the service. Burial will be held in the Mt. Pleasant Cemetery, Dillsburg.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, P.O. Box 897, Hershey, PA 17033.
