Donald L. Himes, Jr.

Donald L. Himes, Jr., 67, of Dillsburg passed away unexpectedly in Catawissa, PA.

   He was born November 19, 1955, in Mechanicsburg the son of the late Donald L. and Joyce A. (Heiges) Himes.

   Donald formerly worked for Iceland Seafood, Camp Hill and retired from Joseph Machine Shop, Dillsburg. He was a graduate of Northern High School, class of 1974. Donald was a member of the South Mountain V.F.W. Post #6771 and the Dillsburg American Legion Post #26. He enjoyed spending time camping, was an avid Steelers fan but most of all he loved spending time with his family. 

   Donald is survived by his wife Karen A. (Poticher) Himes; his brother, Rick A. Himes of East Berlin; his sister, Lisa A. Wilder of Dillsburg; six grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

   Services will be held Friday, June 30, 2023, at 11:00 am in the Cocklin Funeral Home, Inc., 30 N. Chestnut St., Dillsburg. A viewing will be held Friday from 10-11 am at the funeral home. Burial will be held in the Dillsburg Cemetery-Mountain Road. The family suggest that everyone wear black and gold colors for his love of the Steelers.

   In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Mountain Ridge Church, 32 Big Dam Road, Dillsburg, PA 17019.
