Donald R. Pechart

Donald Pechart, amazing husband, father, grandfather, and friend went to be with His Savior, Jesus Christ, Sunday evening November 7th.  He is survived by his wife, Pauline (Polly) Pechart; his daughter Deb Jensen and her husband Troy and son Roman; his daughter-in-law Angie Pechart, and his 5 grandchildren Britanie, Ryan, Hunter, Skylar, and Matthew Pechart, and his brother Bill and his wife Julie. He was preceded in death by his son Scott on October 12th 1986 and his son Stephen on October 11th 2021, and his sister, Carolyn Link. 

   Although Don made a living by teaching Mathematics at Mechanicsburg (30yrs) and by doing construction work with his partner Lynwood (L&D Construction), his passion was sharing the gospel with others.  He taught Sunday school, held Bible studies, and preached an occasional congregational message.  We are sure when he entered Jesus presence he heard “Well done, good and faithful servant.”

  His second passion was spending time with his wife and grandchildren.  He and Polly loved to travel to hear Christian gospel singers, to visit the Creation Museum, and to spend time with friends and family.  He loved watching Roman play sports, especially as QB for his varsity football team.  When ill, he always prayed to be stay well enough to watch Roman’s full season.  He loved traveling to WV to spend time with Stephen and his kids where they played games, did home projects, shared meals, talked, laughed, and made cherished memories.  He adored his family!   

  Don’s gentle, kind, loving presence will be greatly missed, but celebrate his life with his family as He is now in his Heavenly Home.

 Funeral services will be held on Saturday, November 13th, 2021 at 1:00 pm, at Cocklin Funeral Home, Inc., 30 N. Chestnut St., Dillsburg.  There will be a public viewing from 11:00 am -1:00 pm followed by the service.
