Donna H. (Heberlig) Crist

Donna H. Crist, 84, of Carlisle, PA passed away Sunday, July 26, 2026, at the UPMC Carlisle Regional Medical Center.

   She was born July 11, 1942, in Carlisle, PA the daughter of the late Glenn E. and Helen M. (Zeigler) Heberlig. 

   Donna was a member of St. Paul's Evangelical Lutheran Church in Carlisle and was involved in Stephens Ministry. She was a hospice volunteer and enjoyed sewing, quilting, photography, and was an avid reader. 

   Donna's joys in life were spending time at the beach in North Carolina, traveling, listening to music, and keeping up to date with current events. She was a life-long learner and global citizen who cared deeply about the world, humanity, her family, and her grandchildren. Her generosity and love was felt by many in the community.

   Donna is survived by her four daughters, Rebecca C. Cornelius (Craig) of Potomac, MD, Joanna C. Nummy (Ben) of Glenview, IL, Suzannah C. Sabin (Glenn) of Chapel Hill, NC, Deborah C. Hulting (Steve) of Monument, CO, and their father, Henry S. Crist; her sister, Judy L. Stine of Carlisle; eleven grandchildren, Christopher and Patrick Cornelius, Elizabeth Carey, Andrew, William, and Brian Nummy, Caroline and Mark  Sabin, Natalie, Ethan, and Jack Hulting; and one great-granddaughter Rosalie. She was preceded in death by a sister, Becky L. Heberlig. 

   Services will be held privately and at the convenience of the family.
