Douglas Eugene Reed, 54, of Manchester, PA passed away Saturday, June 27, 2026, at the Wellspan York Hospital after a two year battle with A.L.S.
He was born May 4, 1972, in Harrisburg, PA the son of the late Lewis C. and Jean S. (Carey) Reed.
Doug was employed with Thornton Chevrolet in Manchester as a auto mechanic.
He was a member of the National Rife Association and enjoyed being in the outdoors fishing and hunting. Doug also liked cookouts and family gatherings and was a connoisseur of fine bourbon.
He is survived by his wife Jennifer S. (Baylis) Reed; his daughter Katelynn A. Reever (Corey) of Hanover; his siblings, David A. Reed of Dillsburg, John L. Reed of Dillsburg, Kimberly A. Baranowsky of Meadowview, VA; his granddaughter, Abbigal; several nieces and nephews and numerous step-siblings.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, July 11, 2026, from 12:00 pm-4:00 pm at the Wellsville Fire Company, 95 Community St., Wellsville, PA 17365.
