Elvin D. Wonders

Elvin D. Wonders, age 81, of Dillsburg, passed away Friday, August 20th, 2021 at home surrounded by his loving family.

  He was born Saturday, April 27th, 1940 in Franklin Township, York County, Pennsylvania, the son of the late Paul D. and Theresa May Klugh Wonders. 

  Elvin was a retired Truck Driver having worked most of his career for the former Hall's Trucking and PA Truck Lines.  He was also a member of the Teamsters Union #776. 

  Elvin is survived by his loving wife, Patricia Wevodau Wonders.  His beloved children:  Kimberly A. Balthaser and her husband Daniel, of New Buffalo;  Rickey D. Wonders and his wife, Karryn, of Dover and Brian L. Wonders, of Carlisle.  His step-children:  Brad A. Wevodau and his wife, Myung, of Camp Hill; Steven S. Wevodau and his wife, Melissa, of Enola and Gerry R. Wevodau and his wife, Yvette, of Enola and Beth Ann Mellott and her husband, Chris, of Camp Hill.  His sisters and brothers:  Irene Kennedy, of Mechanicsburg; Glenn Wonders, of Marietta; Edith Sollenberger, of Jersey Shore; Darlene Emlet, of Gardners; Kenneth Wonders, of Boiling Springs and Larry Wonders, of Dillsburg.  1 Grandchild, 11 Step-Grandchildren, 2 Great-Grandchildren and 11 Step-Great-Grandchildren.  Elvin was predeceased by his sister and brothers:  Ruth Bancala, Leverne Wonders, Lester Wonders and Dean Wonders. 

  Services will be held Thursday, 11:00 am, August 26th, 2021 at the Cocklin Funeral Home, Inc., 30 N. Chestnut Street, Dillsburg, PA with the Reverend Richard Cline, officiating.  Burial will be in the Chestnut Hill Cemetery, Mechanicsburg, PA.  A viewing will be held Thursday, 1 hour prior to the service from 10:00 am until 11:00 am at the Funeral Home.
