Faith H. (Higgins) Chidester

Faith H. (Higgins) Chidester, 85, of Camp Hill, passed away on Thursday evening, July 17, 2025, at UPMC West Shore Hospital.

   She was born Friday, November 10th, 1939 in Cincinnati, Hamilton County, Ohio the daughter of the late Richard Dean Lovell & Lillian Marian Woodland Higgins.  

   Faith was a devoted and loving wife and mother and also a dedicated volunteer for Caitlin’s Smiles crafting cards and making arts and crafts activity bags for children in medical facilities.    

   She was the widow of her beloved husband, James C. Chidester, who passed away March 8th, 2010.  

   Faith is survived by her devoted children: Vickie L. Crouse, of Dillsburg; Cheryl A. Chidester, of Mechanicsburg and James Mark Chidester and his wife, Gabrielle, of Camp Hill; Her grandchildren:  Donald R. Crouse III, Bradley C. Crouse, Lauren M. Chidester, Emily R. Chidester and Caitlin A. Chidester.  Her great-grandchildren:  Cassandra E. & Emmett J. Crouse.  Her brother and sisters:  Lowell Higgins, of FL, Kathleen Souders, of PA and Sherry Broderick, of Cape Cod, MA.  Her step-brother:  Stephen Falk and his wife, Christy, of York.  Faith will also be missed by many beloved members of her extended family.   Along with her parents, Faith was predeceased by her step-father, Bernard Falk; brother, Richard D.L. Higgins, and her son-in-law, Donald R. Crouse, Jr.

   Services will be held Wednesday, July 23rd, 2025 at 4:00 pm at the Cocklin Funeral Home,Inc., 30 N. Chestnut Street, Dillsburg, PA.  A viewing will be held from 3:00 pm to 4:00 pm, one hour prior to the Service at the Funeral Home.  Burial will be held privately at the convenience of the family on Cape Cod, Massachusetts.
