Gerald Lee Danner

Gerald L. Danner, 78, of Wellsville, PA passed away Friday, April 11, 2025, at the Wellspan York Hospital, PA.

He was born August 8, 1946, in Dillsburg, PA the son of the late Charles and Arlene (Hoffman) Danner.

Gerald retired after 35 years of service teaching 7th grade math at South Middleton School District.

Gerald was a member of Calvary Methodist Church, Dillsburg.

He was a graduate of Northern High School class of 1964. He then went on to receive his Bachelors and Masters degree from Shippensburg State College.

Gerald enjoyed traveling to all 50 states and every continent. He also enjoyed crossword puzzles, trips to Penn State football games and especially enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren. 

He is survived by his wife Barbara A. (Creely) Danner; one daughter, Lorie A. Lamason (Christopher) of Mechanicsburg; four siblings, Larry Danner of Dillsburg, Sharon Ruddy of Harrisburg, Dale Danner of Mechanicsburg, Lynn Danner of Lincoln, DE; and two grandchildren, Jacob and Joshua Lamason. Gerald was preceded in death along with his parents by a daughter, Jennifer L. Danner.

Services will be held Friday, April 18, 2025, at 4:00 pm in his church, Calvary Methodist Church, 203 Mumper Lane, Dillsburg, PA. A viewing will be held Friday from 3-4 pm at the church. Burial will follow in the Filey's Cemetery, Dillsburg.
