Gerald "Jimmy" Orris, II Obituary

 

Gerald Edgar Orris II known lovingly as Jimmy 53, formerly of Shermans Dale, passed into our Heavenly Father’s Home on Tuesday June 4, 2024 at 8:11 PM in the UPMC West Shore Hospital ICU having followed a 2 year illness.

 

He was born January 3, 1971 in the Carlisle Hospital, Carlisle Pa., the son of Gerald (Jerry) E. Orris I Shermans Dale Pa and Juanita Y. Carbaugh Duncannon Pa. 

 

Jim worked a verity of jobs over his life but the last one was Food Plus in Shermans Dale.  He had attended William Penn High School in Harrisburg Pa. He was a volunteer Fire Police for the North Middleton Township Fire Company. He loved his truck, playing games on the internet, music and riding motorcycles.

 

He is survived by his wife, Laura Cary Orris Duncannon Pa, a daughter Theresa Ann Orris (Lou) Johnstown Pa and a son Gerald (Jasper) Edgar Orris III, Johnstown Pa. Two brothers Joshua S Carbaugh Sr.(April), Duncannon Pa and Nam V. Tran (Tami), Harrisburg Pa and Two sisters Nellie Marie Tran-McLaughlin (Kyle), Mt. Gretna Pa and Tami Orris (Philip), Shermans Dale Pa. He was the loving Pap Pap to his 8 beloved grandchildren, Shyler Lee Orris, Terry Andy Orris, Jeydon Orris, Anora Marie Orris, Kaden Orris, Delilah Orris, Jasper Lee Orris, and Anyah Orris. He has a small nephew Joey that calls him Pap Pap because the older children do that he loves tremendously. He also has 3 nieces, 10 nephews, 5 great nieces, and 3 great nephews whom he loves and is very proud of as well. He is a very family oriented man. Jimmy was preceded in death by his nephew Joshua (JJ) Stephen Carbaugh, his maternal grandfather Sylvester (Bud) E. Carbaugh Sr., maternal grandmother Sylvia Marie Townsend, paternal grandfather Gerald R. Orris, and paternal grandmother Clair E. (Bailey) Orris.

 

Services will be held Thursday June 13, 2024. Viewing will be at 10:00 am and service will be at 11:00 am, followed by the burial which will be in the Suburban Memorial Gardens, Dover.

 

Jimmy will be greatly missed by his family and friends, but all know that he is with his loving family that has passed over before him into the Kingdom of Heaven. We rejoice in the fact that he is with loved ones and with our Heavenly Father. What a day that will be when Jimmy again we shall see.
