Gerry Lynn Turner

Gerry Lynn Turner, 81, of Dillsburg, died on Saturday, August 17, 2024.

   He was born in Waco, TX on February 8, 1943, to parents Nona L. (Geiger) and B. Eugene Turner. 

   He grew up in Dallas, TX, and graduated from South Oak Cliff High School in 1960.  He settled in York, PA in 1980, but never completely lost his Texas accent.

   Gerry is preceded in death by wife Pamela J. Quinn, and sister Wanda J. Hirsch.

   He is survived by children V. Alexander (R. Jessica); Jacqueline (Jesse); & Christian (Sara); and 5 grandchildren.

   Gerry was a management consultant by trade, traveling the country and racking up air miles for family adventures.  Later, he was an entrepreneur of many endeavors, always working hard to support his family.

   He enjoyed watching Baylor sports, gardening, and probably most of all fishing.

   Thanks to staff at Penn State Health, UPMC, Residential Home Health, and MedStar for taking great care of him as his health declined.

   In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Penn State Hershey Medical Center.

   Services will be held at the convenience of the family.
