Grover "Butch" Lester Kauffman, Jr.

Grover entered his heavenly home on Saturday March 21,2026.  Born July 29, 1939 the son of the late Grover L Kauffman Sr and Isabel (Schriver) Kauffman.  Grover grew up in Enola PA and graduated from Enola High School in 1958.  Grover was the widow of love of his life, Elsie M (Hale) Kauffman.  After marriage Grover and Elsie lived the remainder of their lives in Dillsburg, PA. 

   Grover served in the Army Reserves after graduating high school.  Grover worked as an office manager and accountant for his life long friend, Ronnie Gates at R & R Gates Paving until the 1970’s.  Grover, along with his father started K & S Machine Co.  Grover remained in the tool and die business until his retirement. 

   Grover had three birth children but also fostered over 50 children over the years.  Grover leaves behind Alan Kauffman, David Kauffman, wife Rita, Mary (Kauffman) Taughinbaugh, husband Brian, Desiree (Schell) Myers, husband Ron, Brenda (Feathers) Stremmel, plus many more who referred to Grover as Dad.  Grandchildren Tory Kauffman (Debbie), Tiairre Bentzel, Phil Sprenkle (Kendra), Caleb Taughinbaugh, Olivia Taughinbaugh, Nick Myers, Drew Myers, Rachel Connelly, Paul Jacobs III and Elijah Jacobs.  Great Grandchildren Preston Gladfelter-Kauffman, Cayna and Clyde Kauffman, Avery and Nori Mae Bentzel, Valan Malo, Liberty and Ryleigh Miller, Noah Garman and Layla Sprenkle.   The list goes on of those who referred to Grover as Pap. 

   Grover was preceded in death along with his parents and loving wife, by daughter LuRena Schell. 

   Grover decided to have his body donated for medical research just as Elsie did at the time of her passing. 

   In lieu of flowers the family request donations be made to the SPCA or animal shelter of your choice.
