Harry Fasick, Jr. Obituary

 

Harry M. Fasick, Jr. 81, of York Springs, passed away on April 6, 2025. Harry was born on April 25, 1943 and grew up in York Springs, PA. He was the son of Harry M. Fasick, Sr. and Mary Louise (Garrettson) Fasick. Harry graduated in 1961 from Bermudian High School, received an Associate Degree in Electronic Technology from Penn State York Campus and earned a Bachelor's Degree in Business from Penn State Capital Campus. 

 

Most of Harry’s career was spent working in the field of quality control. He worked for Rocketdyne in California on the Saturn rocket engines, McCoy Electronics, Mt Holly Springs, PA, Bulova Technologies, Lancaster, PA, Polytronix, Richardson, TX, General Cable, Plano, TX, and GCI Technologies, Plano, TX. Harry is also a veteran, having served in the Pennsylvania Army National Guard. Additionally, he was a member of the American Radio Relay League, the Cumberland Amateur Radio Club, and was formerly part of the Dillsburg Lions Club. Harry was a licensed amateur radio operator since 1958 and often helped to facilitate public events. He enjoyed watching his son and grandchildren in music events and other pursuits.

 

Harry is survived by his wife of almost 25 years, Valli M. Hoski, of Detroit, Michigan, and his son, Michael and daughter-in-law Joy Fasick of Gardners, three grandchildren, his brother, Garry and sister-in-law Dorothy Fasick of Boiling Springs. He was predeceased by his sister Betsy Hodges of Princeton, West Virginia, and his first wife of 27 years, Darlene Fasick of Dillsburg. 

 

Friends are invited to attend a Celebration of Life on Saturday, May 31 at 11a.m. with a meal to follow at Holy Trinity Church, 216 Main St, York Springs, with the Rev. Dr. Chris Suehr officiating.
