Harvey Emanuel Shetron, 91, of Carlisle, passed away surrounded by his loving family on Sunday evening, June 9th, 2024 at his home.
He was born February 23, 1933 in Lower Allen Township, Cumberland County, Pennsylvania, the son of the late Solomon C. & Mary Koellner Shetron.
Harvey was a lifelong farmer, self employed painter and a US Army Veteran of the Korean War. He was also a member of Cedar Hill Baptist Church, Dillsburg; the Enola Sportsman’s Club and the Black Springs Gun Club. He was an avid outdoorsman, hunter, fisherman and was above all a loving and proud family man.
He is survived by his loving wife, Judith Ann Lantz Shetron. His beloved children: Sons, Kenneth H. Shetron and his wife Malissa, of Mifflintown; Ronald P. Shetron and wife Lana, of Carlisle and his Daughter, Linda Lea Burdge and her husband, Raymond, of Newport. His sister, Nancy Peckert and her husband Ernie, of Mechanicsburg. 6 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren.
Services will be held Monday, June 24th, 2024 at 11:00 am at his church, Cedar Hill Baptist Church, 154 Chestnut Grove Road, Dillsbug, PA, with his pastor the Reverend Wes Gunther, officiating. Burial with Military Honors will be following the Service in the Ft. Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Annville, Lebanon County, Pennsylvania. A visitation will be held Monday, June 24th, 2024 from 10:00 am to 11:00 am, one hour prior to the Service at the Church.
