Ian Weidenhammer Obituary

Ian Weidenhammer, age 35, passed peacefully Saturday, April 19, 2025, at his home in Carlisle.

Ian was born March 30, 1990 in Harrisburg Hospital to Michael Weidenhammer of Millerstown and Carol Page of Lewisberry.

Ian graduated from Cumberland Valley High School in 2008. He spent 14 years with his bonus family, Scott and Rose Kramer, their son Zach and foster brothers Scotty, Darryl and Jason. They were a godsend at a difficult time and raised him as their own. He lived the last ten years of his life in a group home run by Skills of Central PA, where they gave him loving care and comfort. He was blessed to have many people throughout his life who loved him.

Ian loved water, music, sporting events and spending time outside. He was an inspiration to everyone he met and fought hard to the end. He has earned his place in Heaven.

Ian is survived by his parents as well as two brothers, Kyle Rossi of Lewisberry and Jonas Weidenhammer of Philadelphia, sisters Claire and Ella Weidenhammer of Millerstown and his bonus dad, Scott Kramer of Mechanicsburg. He also leaves numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents Leonard and Jean Page, his paternal grandparents Ronald and Marie Weidenhammer, and his bonus mom Rose Kramer.

A celebration of life will be held at New Life Church, 530 Big Spring Road, New Cumberland, PA where we will gather to honor Ian’s life and share memories of him with family and friends on Saturday, June 7, 2025,  at noon.  Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the church.

In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully requests that donations be made to Grane Hospice or Skills of Central PA.
