Irene Esther (Bamberger) Sheaffer

Irene Esther Sheaffer, 85, went home to her Lord and Savior Jesus on June 30, 2026. She only wanted to be celebrated, not mourned. Celebration of life will be held July 4th at her granddaughter's home.

Irene was born to the late Milford and Nellie Bamberger in Harrisburg, PA on April 14th, 1941. She is preceded in death by her husband of 47 years (Gene L. Sheaffer, Sr.), a daughter (Elizabeth A. Sheaffer) and two sisters (Alberta and Diane).

She is survived by two sisters (Betty and Marge). Seven children: Carol M. Fink and companion James Baugher, Bertha I. Lex and husband Clarence, Gene L. Sheaffer Jr., Alice M. Sheaffer and companion Alan Landrus, Donald L. Sheaffer, Nancy M. Sheaffer, Sharon A. Ammerman and husband Stuart, and her son-in-law Charles Lex and wife Herminia.

Ten grandchildren: Joshua E. Lex and wife Donna, Andrew L. Lex, Brook M. Brown and husband Robert, Robert A. Noll Jr. and companion Cheri, Sarah L. Todd and husband Alexander, Michael A. Noll and wife Tori, Brandon C. Lex, Zachary M. Lex, Lisa M. Singer, and Stuart Ammerman III and wife Chevelle.

Her pride and joys were her 14 great-grandchildren: Ruby Lex, Chase Lex, Kody Brown, Duane Noll, Tavin Brown, Carter Todd, Zoey Lex, Taylan Bossinger, Emily Noll, Camryn Todd, Keegan Salm, Kylee Todd, Riley Brown, and Bella Ammerman.

She will be remembered for her selflessness and the pure love she had for her family.
