James Edward Richter, II

James Edward Richter, II, age 80, of Dillsburg, passed away Sunday, June 14th, 2026 at home.

   He was born Tuesday, August 28th, 1945 in Maxton, Robeson County, North Carolina, the son of the late James Edward and Elizabeth Catherine McAlister Richter.

   James was a retired Machinist have worked for the former AMP and then Tyco and was a Veteran of the Pennsylvania Army National Guard.  After retirement, Jim enjoyed his time working for Fred Beans Ford as a Driver and spent many hours working and enjoying his ‘57 Corvette.

   He is survived by his beloved wife of 60 years, Yvonne Louise Stringfellow Richter and his sister, Sandra Jean Richter, of Ft. Myers, Florida.  Jim was predeceased by his cherished daughter, Michelle Anne Altland. 

   Services will be held on Monday, June 22nd, 2026 at 3:30 pm in the Cocklin Funeral Home, Inc., 30 N. Chestnut Street, Dillsburg, PA. A viewing will be held Monday, from 2:30 pm - 3:30 pm, one hour prior to the Service at the Funeral Home.  Burial will be in the Dillsburg Cemetery – Golf Course Road.
