Janet E. Keslar

Janet E. (Hill) Keslar, 73, of Dover, PA passed away Tuesday, July 6, 2021. She will be remembered for her laugh, her sweet nature and the love she had for her family.

She was born October 17, 1947 in Freeport, Armstrong County, PA, the daughter of the late D. Richard Hill and Madelen Smail Hill.

Jan graduated from Youngstown State University and moved to Harrisburg, PA. She was employed by the State of Pennsylvania until her retirement in 2007. She was a member of the former Barrens United Lutheran Church, Dillsburg, PA since 1974 and was in the process of becoming a member of Calvary Evangelical Lutheran Church, Dover, PA.

Jan enjoyed teaching Sunday School and Vacation Bible School and was a member of the York County Society of Farm Women Group 17. After retirement, she volunteered as a driver for the Meals on Wheels program.

Jan raised three sons Daniel and Carl of Alexandria, VA, and William of Harrisburg, PA. She is also survived by her brother, David Hill as well as her former husband, Ronald of Dillsburg, PA and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother Charles Hill and sisters Joanne Loose, Sabra Hill and Nancy Hoke.

Services will be held Saturday, July 10, 2021, at 10:30 am in the Cocklin Funeral Home, Inc., 30 N. Chestnut St., Dillsburg, PA. A visitation will be held Friday from 7-8 pm at the funeral home. Burial will be held in the Barrens Salem Union Cemetery, Dillsburg.
