Janet E. (Bassler) Sparks

Janet Bassler Sparks, 70 of Dillsburg, went to be with our Lord on November 30, 2021 after a brief illness. Janet was a Graduate of East Juniata High School in 1969. Janet supported the US Navy Defense as a Civilian for 28 years where she earned my awards and recognitions for her service. Upon her retirement, Janet began in home health care where she had the privilege of working with many wonderful clients including her dear friend Mary Bressler.

Janet was preceded in death by her mother, Bernice J., and her father, Clair P. Bassler of Richfield. She leaves behind her son Brendon Sparks and his wife Jessica of Middletown, along with their four children Ava, Izik, Aydan, and Lincoln. She is also survived by her brother David and his wife Mary of Mount Pleasant Mills; her brother Steve and his wife Vickie of Mount Pleasant Mills; and 4 nephews and 2 nieces and their multiple children.

A memorial celebration will be held on Friday December 10 at Cocklin Funeral Home in Dillsburg. Visitation will begin at 3pm with the service to be held at 4pm. Reverend David J. Schreffler will officiate the service. A private graveside service will be held at a later time a Hillside Cemetery in McAlisterville, Pa.

Attendees of the memorial service are requested to wear masks when in the funeral home.
