Jessica Rae (Beard) Slugg

Our beautiful Jessica Rae Slugg, 41, of Dillsburg entered her eternal rest with the Lord on Ash Wednesday February 18th, at home surrounded by family.                 

   She was born May 20th, 1984, in Harrisburg, PA the daughter of Richard P. and Kim (Gray) Beard of Dillsburg.

  Jessica was employed by U.P.M.C. Heart and Vascular Institute, where she worked as the Health Information Supervisor.                      

    She was a member of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church in Mechanicsburg. 

    Jessica is survived in addition to her parents by Christopher H. Slugg; their two children, Brayden C. Slugg, Ava L. Slugg both and their dog, Trout at home; and her sibling Ryan M. Beard of Dillsburg, mother and father inlaw, Donna Slugg and James Slugg of Dillsburg, and sister in laws, Sarah M. Bugey, wife of Clayton Bugey of Lewisberry, and Natalie E. Stephenson, wife of Ryan Stephenson of Dillsburg as well as their children, Gavin and Joselyn Bugey and Rohen and Delaney Stephenson. 

     Jess loved her children endlessly and could always be seen on the sidelines of Ava's softball games and Brayden's wrestling matches where she could always be heard from the stands yelling "c'mon Bray!!" She loved family vacations to the beach to OBX, annual girls vacation to the beach in Delaware, pool days with friends and relaxing at home.

   A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, February 25, 2026, at 11:00 am at her church, St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church, 310 Hertzler Dr., Mechanicsburg, PA 17055. A viewing will be held Wednesday from 9-11 am at the church prior to mass. 

   In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Hospice of Central Pennsylvania, 1320 Linglestown Rd., Harrisburg, PA 17110 or Pink Hands of Hope, 5325 East Trindle Rd., Mechanicsburg, PA 17050.
