Joan E. Myers, 83, formerly of Dover, PA passed away Saturday, July 19, 2025, at Normandie Ridge in York, PA.
She was born September 3, 1941, in Dover, the daughter of the late George and Alda (Ruppert) Hilbert.
Joan was the widow of Jack D. Myers. She was preceded in death by her brother, Jeff Hilbert, and her daughter Melanie. Her son, Mark, and his wife, Maggie, are saddened to see her depart this earth, but pleased to know she is rejoining so many beloved friends and relatives who have passed. She was the supportive grandmother to Tony Devine, Kelly (Devine) Wedburg, Carissa (Devine) Gonzalez, Nigel IJff, Daniel Myers, Nathan Myers, Marijke IJff, and Jack Myers. She was also blessed to be the great-grandmother to Ephraim, Jayden, Asher, Leonardo, Parker, and Aaro.
She was a graduate of Dover High School class of 1960 and was a former waitress at Route 74 Restaurant and also worked as an administrative assistant for York County Children and Youth.
Joan was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church in York and was involved in Golden Nuggets, Good Shepperd Chapel, Normandie Ridge aquatics, PA Pro Life and the National Pro Life Alliance.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, July 30, 2025, at 11:00 am in her church, St. Mary's Catholic Church, 309 South George St., York, PA 17401. A viewing will be held Wednesday from 10-11 am at the church. Entombment will follow the service at Holy Savior Cemetery, York.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Food for the Poor or Covenant House.
