Joan A. Schrader, 82, formerly of Camp Hill passed away Thursday, June 8, 2023, at Country Meadows of West Shore in Mechanicsburg.
She was born September 1, 1940, in Fort Knox, KY the daughter of the late Curtis A. and Jane (Atkinson) Schrader.
Joan retired after 25 years of service with the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania where she worked as a Reference Librarian.
She received her Undergraduate Degree from Penn State University in University Park and her Masters Degree in Library Science from the University of Maryland.
Joan was an avid reader, especially mystery stories.
She is survived by her husband Gary L. Fisher of Mechanicsburg and three nephews. Joan was preceded in death, in addition to her parents, by her brother, Frederick A. Schrader.
A visitation will be held Thursday, June 15, 2023, from 10-11 am in the Cocklin Funeral Home, Inc., 30 N. Chestnut St., Dillsburg with a service to follow. Burial will be held in the Dillsburg Cemetery-Mountain Road.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the Cleve J. Fredricksen Library, 100 N. 19th Street, Camp Hill, PA 17011.
