Joy E. Albert, 75, of Wellsville went home to be with the Lord on Monday, January 10, 2022, at the Penn State Health Holy Spirit Hospital, Camp Hill.
She was born December 7, 1946, in Wellsville the daughter of the late Chester and Blanche (Walker) Stough.
Joy was the widow of David J. Albert, Sr.
She was retired from the Housekeeping Department of Messiah Village, Mechanicsburg.
Joy was a member of the Pinchot Park Assembly in Wellsville. She was a former Sunday School teacher and was involved with a card ministry. She enjoyed singing, playing games, reading inspirational fiction, traveling with her sister and spending time with her family.
Joy is survived by a daughter, Robin L. Strasser of Wellsville; two sons, David J. Albert, Jr. (Donna) of Franklintown, Timothy M. Albert (Sallie) of Dillsburg; one sister, Kay F. Stough of Wellsville; six grandchildren, Jyvonne Hartnett (Matthew), Justin Albert (Emily), Jylaina Albert (Joseph), Cameron Albert (Mikayla), Tanner Albert, Olivia Albert; and two great-grandchildren, Reilly Hartnett and Evelyn Albert. Joy was preceded in death along with her husband and parents by a daughter, Nadine M. Albert and four grand angel babies.
Services will be held Friday, January 14, 2022, at 11:00 am in her church, Pinchot Park Assembly of God, 2755 Rosstown Road, Wellsville, PA 17365. Viewings will be held Thursday from 6-8 pm in the Cocklin Funeral Home, Inc., 30 N. Chestnut St., Dillsburg and on Friday from 10-11 am at the church. The family asks that masks be worn in the Funeral Home and the Church. Burial will be held in the Tri-County Memorial Park, Lewisberry.
