Joyce Elaine (Ingle) Pogue

Joyce Elaine Pogue, 81, of Middle River, MD passed away Saturday, November 15, 2025, at the Johns Hopkins Bayview Medical Center, Baltimore, MD.

She was born March 14, 1944, in Pecos, TX and grew up in Pennsylvania before moving to the DC/Maryland area when she was 17. She was the daughter of the late William and Mame (Guise) Ingle. 

Joyce worked as a retail sales associate, a cashier in Maryland and worked in Washington, DC cleaning suites for members of Congress  and the Senate. She loved Florida where she had lived later in life for 10 years. She enjoyed wii-bowling on a team and spending time with her coffee group of girlfriends who had weekly prayer parties at Parkview Mirimar Landing in Middle River, MD. She also loved bowling, dancing, live music, animals, and amusement parks. Joyce Attended Middle River Church of God.

Joyce is survived by her children, William L. Altice of York Haven, Ida M. Slaughter of Baltimore; two grandchildren, Krystal A. Cahill, Brandy L. Altice; and one great-grandchild Aly.

Services will be held Saturday, November 22, 2025, at 1:00 pm in the Cocklin Funeral Home, Inc., 30 N. Chestnut St., Dillsburg, PA. A viewing will be held Saturday from 12:00 pm-1:00 pm at the funeral home. Burial will be held in the Franklin Cemetery, Dillsburg, PA.
