Joyce A. Thompson, 81, of New Cumberland, PA passed away Tuesday, July 29, 2025, at her home.
She was born February 28, 1944, in Indianapolis, IN the daughter of the late William Ganote and May and Edward Skaggs.
Joyce was the widow of David C. Thompson.
She was a retired cosmetologist.
Joyce was an active member of Christian Life Assembly in Camp Hill and volunteered in its Breads and Threads Ministry.
She was a fitness and wellness enthusiast, coffee lover and regular at Starbucks, gardening guru/admired for her green thumb. Joyce loved the beach, lighthouses, cooking and was well known for her creative holiday treats. She most enjoyed spending time with her family and friends serving the community and following her grandchildren's sporting events.
Joyce is survived by her children, Steve C. Thompson (Karen) of Beaver Falls, Daina J. Thompson-Eisenhower of Camp Hill; her grandchildren, Jake Eisenhower (Ashley), Luke Thompson (Shaniah), Kate Thompson, Tate Eisenhower, Dane Eisenhower; her great-grandchildren, Layla, Jesse, Spencer; her sister, Melody Docktor of Indianapolis, IN; and many nieces and nephews. Joyce was preceded in death along with her parents and husband by three sisters, Barbara Lockhart, Shirley Ingersoll, and Sandy Huffer.
Services will be held Saturday, August 23, 2025, at 12:00 noon in the Youth Center of her church, Christian Life Assembly, 2645 Lisburn Road, Camp Hill, PA. A visitation will be held one hour prior to the service. Burial will be held at the convenience of the family in the Grantham Memorial Park, Mechanicsburg.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to her church, Christian Life Assembly, 2345 Lisburn Rd., Camp Hill, PA 17011, to be used by the Breads and Threads Ministry.
