Judith A. (Harbst) Grassmyer

Judith A. (Harbst) Grassmyer, 80, of Dillsburg, PA passed away Friday evening, August 27th, 2021 at Cumberland Crossings, Carlisle.

She was born January 13th, 1941 in McVeytown, Mifflin County, PA, the daughter of the late Harry and Verna Carper Harbst. 

Judith was a retired secretary, having worked for the Rite Aid Warehouse, Shiremanstown, for 25 years.  She was a graduate of RothRock High School, class of 1959. Judith also attended Calvary Baptist Church, York, PA. 

Judith is survived by her devoted husband, John I. Grassmyer.  Her loving sons: Mark S. Grassmyer and his wife Carrie of York, PA; Todd A. Grassmyer and Troy P. Grassmyer, both of Dillsburg.  6 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren. Her aunt, Beulah Aurand, of McVeytown. In addition to her parents, Judith was predeceased by her son: Michael J. Grassmyer, her brother, Thomas Harbst and her sister, Doris Dumn.

Services will be held Tuesday, 11:00 am, August 31st, 2021 at the Cocklin Funeral Home, Inc., 30 N. Chestnut Street, Dillsburg, PA with the Reverend Richard Hall, officiating.  A viewing will be held Tuesday, 1 hour prior to the service from 10:00 am until 11:00 am at the Funeral Home.  Burial in the Dillsburg Cemetery – Golf Course Road, will be held privately at the convenience of the family.
