Katharine Virginia (Himes) Moody

Katharine Virginia Moody, age 102, of Camdenton, Missouri and formerly of Rossville, PA passed away on May 8, 2025, at StoneBridge Lake Ozark.

She was born on November 19, 1922 in Adams County, Pennsylvania.  Katharine was the daughter of the late Charles H. and Nora K. (Scott) Himes and was the youngest of eight children.

Katharine met her husband, Lester Eugene Moody, a World War II veteran, and they were married on November 16, 1947 in Rossville, Pennsylvania. Lester preceded her in death on March 26, 2011.

Katharine and Lester had four children, Gary Moody, Linda Brindle, Cheryl Bland and Tina Neail. She has six grandchildren, twelve great grandchildren and five great-great-grandchildren. Her son Gary and her grandson Garett preceded her in death.

She enjoyed knitting, crocheting, reading books, doing crossword puzzles, eating Hershey Kisses and ice cream.

Services will be held Tuesday, May 20, 20205, at 2:00 pm in the Cocklin Funeral Home, Inc., 30 N. Chestnut St., Dillsburg, PA. A viewing will be held Tuesday from 1-2 pm at the funeral home. Burial will be held in the Emanuel Cemetery, Lewisberry.
