Larry Scott Holmes

Larry S. Holmes, 67, of Dillsburg, PA passed away Friday, May 16, 2025, at his home.

   He was born May 10, 1958, in York, PA the son of the late Kenneth H. and Lorraine R. (Kauffman) Holmes.

   Larry's main occupation was as a printer having worked at Duplex and then Digital Ink then went on to work in his later years at Weis Market in Bowmansdale.

   He was a former member of the Carlisle Fish and Game and enjoyed hunting and fishing.

   Larry is survived by his wife Susan K. (Sterling) Holmes; two daughters, Laura S. Frank (Steve) of Gardners, Michele L. Holmes (Paul) of Wilkes Barre; five grandchildren, Wyatt, Dean, Delaney, Holden, Liberty; and his mother-in-law, E. Jane Garrison. He was preceded in death in addition to his parents by a son, Larry S. Holmes, Jr. and two brothers, Donald L. and Ronald E. Holmes.

   Services will be held Wednesday, May 21, 2025, at 5:00 pm in the Cocklin Funeral Home, Inc., 30 N. Chestnut St., Dillsburg, PA. A viewing will be held Wednesday from 4-5 pm at the funeral home. Burial will be held Thursday at 11:00 am in the Dillsburg Cemetery-Mountain Road.

   In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Cocklin Funeral Home, Inc., 30 N. Chestnut St., Dillsburg, PA 17019 to help the family defray funeral expenses.
