Larry J. Okonski, 73, of Dillsburg, passed away Sunday evening, March 26th, 2023 at the Middletown Home with his loving family by his side.
He was born Sunday, December 11th, 1949 in Reading, Berks County, Pennsylvania, the son of the late Theodore and Genevive McCalicher Okonski.
Larry was a Heavy Equipment Operator, having worked for the US Navy Depot in Mechanicsburg. He was a US Army Veteran of the Vietnam War and a member of Hope Grace Brethren Church, Dillsburg. Larry was also an avid fisherman and hunter and a member of the Dillsburg Group.
Larry is survived by his loving wife of 53 years, Victoria S. Stokes Okonski. His children: Larry D. Okonski and his wife, Renee, of Enola and Pamela J. Riley and her husband, Todd, of York Springs. His granddaughter, Lindsey R. Okonski.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held Saturday, April 1st, 2023 at 10:30 am in the Hope Grace Brethren Church, 110 Old York Rd, Dillsburg, PA 17019. A time for fellowship with family and friends will immediately follow the Service, with light refreshments served. Burial will be held privately for the family at the Ft. Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Annville, PA with full military honors.
