Leta Rohlmeier Obituary

Leta M. (Martin) Rohlmeier, 92, formally of Dillsburg, PA went home to her Lord, June 1st 2024, in her son’s home in Tennessee surrounded by family.  Born Jan 23rd 1932 in Hiawatha, Kansas the daughter of the late Thomas E and Grace (Courton) Martin.

     Leta married her beloved Donald L. Rohlmeier in Topeka Kansas marking the beginning of a shared life filled with love and devotion.  Her love extended to her children, grandchildren, and many foster children.

     Leta was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Mechanicsburg, PA and was active in the United Methodist Women circle and as a Sunday school teacher.  She enjoyed gardening, farming, canning and taking pictures. She promoted and actively donated to causes like New Life for Girls. She held several officer positions including president of her Farm Women group.

     Leta is survived by her loving family, her daughter and son-in-law, Bruce and Christina (Rohlmeier) Carstens of Utah; her son and daughter-in-law, Michael and Heather (Grim) Rohlmeier of Tennessee; grandsons, Thomas Carstens and Evan Rohlmeier; and nephews, Thomas and Roger Pittman.

     Leta was predeceased in addition to her husband by her sister Ruth L (Martin) Pittman and daughter, Rose Ann Rohlmeier.

     Celebration of Life service will be held Saturday, June 15th, 2024, at 2 pm, at the First United Methodist Church, 135 W Simpson St, Mechanicsburg, PA  17055.  There will be no viewing or visitation.

     Burial will be in the Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Annville, Lebanon County, PA.

     In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to First United Methodist Church,135 W Simpson St, Mechanicsburg, PA  17055 or New Life for Girls, 5925 Lewisberry Rd, Dover, PA 17315.
