Lois was born and raised in Butler, PA on June 16, 1938, she was the oldest of six siblings and the daughter of the late Bernard and Dorothy (McKee) Miller.
Lois was preceded in death by her husband of 30 years, Ronald Langland, also of Butler, PA. He was a Navy and Marine Corp Veteran, retiring after 22 years as a Master Chief Hospital Corpsman. Years of military life created numerous moves across the US but her feet were planted for most of her years in Rising Sun, MD and Dillsburg, PA.
Lois was very active in each community as a leader, school PTA, Scout leader, Booster Club member, church associate and was employed with AMP in Harrisburg. Lois retired after 20 years at Book of the Month Club, Mechanicsburg. She resided in Dillsburg until 2016 before moving to Mechanicsburg and Camp Hill. She bravely battled Alzheimers until her fight was lost while residing at the Woods at Cedar Run Memory Care, Camp Hill.
Lois will be largely missed for her smile, laughter and fun loving spirit. She had a way of gently holding a strangers hand and instantly touching their heart with love. Everyone easily became family - where her heart was happiest. Lois's compassion and resolute Faith in God was a hallmark in our family. Lois was happiest when she was together and surrounded by family and friends.
Lois is survived by her beloved children: Michael J. Langland (Naomi), of Dillsburg; Jeffrey P. Langland (Roxanne), of Enola; Andrea T. Grapes (Ed), of Shippensburg and James A.
