Lorraine E. (Kinter) McGlaughlin

Lorraine E. (Kinter) McGlaughlin, 93, of Carlisle and formerly of Arendtsville and Gettysburg, passed away peacefully on Sunday, September 29, 2024 at the Cumberland Crossings Retirement Community.  
     She was born February 19, 1931 in Dillsburg, York County, PA, the daughter of the late Edward L. & Mary E. Nell Kinter.
     Lorraine was a loving wife, mother and devoted grandmother and worked for many years as a Nursing Assistant at the former South Mountain Sanitarium, Mont Alto, PA. Lorraine was also a member of Zion United Church of Christ, Arendtsville.

     Lorraine was the widow of Jay E. McGlaughlin, to whom she had been married to for over 65 years. Lorraine is survived by her loving children:  Michael McGlaughlin and wife Jo of Gettysburg, Jeffrey McGlaughlin and wife Nancy of West Chester and Linda Chever and husband John of Lancaster.  Also surviving are her grandchildren Eric McGlaughlin, Kelly Frick, Andrew Chever, Mark Chever, Laura LaRosa and Juliet McGlaughlin as well as her great-grandchildren, Owen and Molly Frick. Lorraine was predeceased by her brothers and her sister: Gerald E. Kinter, Lavere N. Kinter and Lena D. Kinter.  

     Services and burial will be held at the convenience of the family.
