Lou L. (Meals) Lutz

Lou L Lutz, 87, a resident of SpiriTrust Lutheran, The Village at Utz Terrace, Hanover, PA entered her eternal rest on Sunday, September 29, 2024, surrounded by her family.

   Born in Mechanicsburg on April 18,1937, she was the daughter of Ira C Meals and Helen (Whitcomb) Meals.

   Lou was a pastor’s wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and great- great grandmother. She was a toll order clerk at the phone company, a stay at home mother, she worked in Keefer’s IGA meat department, at Giant Foods, she worked as a cashier, cake decorator, in the meat, and grocery department where she stocked bread and candy. As a pastor’s wife she enjoyed hosting missionaries, playing the piano and organ, and teaching children at Bible school and Good News Club. She had a heart for the men in the Men’s Colony at Keswick. She was a prayer warrior and a faithful servant of God.

   Lou was predeceased by her husband of 65 years, Henry Arthur Lutz, Jr. She is survived by four daughters, Pamela Miller[ Dale], Kathy Chilmaza[Jorge], Beverly Ford[Allen], and Robin Brice[Rodger]. Nine grandchildren, 30 great grandchildren and two great- great grandchildren. She is also survived by two sisters, Lois Putt and twin sister, Sue Dunbar. Lou was predeceased by three brothers, Edwin Meals, Ivan Meals and Dale Meals. One sister, Betty Duncan.

   A celebration of Lou’s life will be held on Monday, October 7, 2024, at 11AM at Calvary Bible Church, 603 Wilson Ave., Hanover, PA 17331. A time of visitation will be held from 10AM until time of service. Officiating will be Pastor Dominic Aquilino. A private burial service will be held in Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens, Harrisburg, PA.

   In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting donations be made to Samaritan’s Purse, designated to Operation Christmas Child Donations.
