Lowell "Tom" E. Cassell

Lowell "Tom" E. Cassell, age 83, of Dillsburg went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, October 1st, 2023, at the U.P.M.C West Shore Hospital, Mechanicsburg.

   He was born Friday, December 15th, 1939, in Wellsville,York County, PA the son of the late Walter and Frances (Wickey) Cassell.

   Tom was the former co-owner of Center Square Press in Mechanicsburg. 

   He attended Celebration Community Church, Dillsburg.

   Tom enjoyed biking and hunting and was a former Sunday school teacher and shared the love of Jesus and the salvation message.

   He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Joann E. (Sipe) Cassell; four children, Cindy J. Secrest of Mechanicsburg, Lynn E. Cassell (Val) of Gardners, Daniel E. Cassell of Wellsville, Denise E. Hiester (Andy) of Virginia; one brother, Walter Cassell, Jr. of Wellsville; one sister, Kitty Cassell of New Cumberland; three grandchildren, Jessica Secrest, Andrea Byerly, Aaron Rahn; and two great-grandchildren, Shae and Everett. Tom was preceded in death by two grandchildren, Troy and Travis Secrest.

   Services will be held Monday, October 9th, 2023, at 2:00 pm in the Cocklin Funeral Home, Inc., 30 N. Chestnut St., Dillsburg,. A viewing will be held Monday from 1:00 pm - 2:00 pm at the funeral home. Burial will be held in the Dillsburg Cemetery-Mountain Road.

   In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the Celebration Community Church, 1048 South Mountain Road, Dillsburg, PA 17019.
