Marc Cole Means, 76, of Mechanicsburg, PA and formerly of Punxsutawney, PA passed away Friday, March 27th, 2026, at the Hospice and Community Care in Mt. Joy, PA with his loving family.
He was born July 22nd, 1949, in DuBois, Clearfield County, Pennsylvania, the son of the late Allen Means and Liddy (King) Anderson.
Marc was a graduate of Anderson University in Anderson, IN and was a retired teacher at Punxsutawney Middle School where he taught 8th grade science for 33 years prior to his retirement in 2004.
He was an avid outdoorsmen and enjoyed fishing, hunting, and trapping. Marc was a member of the Pennsylvania Trappers Association, Fur Takers of America, and the National Trappers Association. Marc was a proud supporter of Big Run, Pennsylvania.
Marc is survived by his wife of 53 years Kathleen A. (Cochran) Means; his children, Brent P. Means and his wife Jade of York Springs, Kelly R. Kozain and her husband Kevin of Dillsburg; one sister, Rolee Luciano of Edinboro; four grandchildren, Nikolas Kozain, Lahanna Means and her husband Israel Felipe, Ella Means and Summer Means.
At Marc's request services will be held privately and at the convenience of the family.
